It is possible to help as a volunteer in a conflict area or in one of the AWO International supported projects?

Many people are offering their help in emergency situations or want to contribute to the development processes themselves. AWO International is very thankful for these offers, but hopes for your understanding, that in most of the cases it isn’t possible to accept the offers, because of following reasons:

Volunteers should help working in sectors and places according to their experiences and skills. Taking this into account, enormous coordination and management efforts are required, which is especially in emergency situations hardly possible.
Furthermore AWO International works especially with local personnel and helpers, because they are specialists on their culture, language and practical requirements.
